We were made aware scammers are impersonating us via phone calls asking for your debit card information and saying your card will be locked if you don't give the information over the phone. If you receive a suspicious call that appears to come from Marquette, please ignore the call or hang up. This phone call is NOT from Marquette Savings Bank. We would never ask for sensitive debit card information over the phone. 

First Time Home Buyer

Calling all First Time Home Buyers!

 

Are you a first-time home buyer? Do you want to understand what the mortgage process looks like from start to finish? In this session you will learn the steps to buying a home, what a prequalification is, the loan application process, what to do if you need to improve your credit score, and understand how you can utilize the Federal Home Loan Bank First Front Door/KEYS Grant Programs. You will also have an opportunity to talk to a Marquette loan officer after the presentation.

At both events, the First Front Door and Keys funding will be discussed. First Front Door and Keys funds are available on a first-come first-serve basis. They are provided by FHL Bank Pittsburgh through Marquette Savings Bank, and a network of additional lenders.

First Front Door Keys (Keys)

  • Opening date on April 7, 2026.
  • Homebuyers will be required to complete the FHL Bank Pittsburgh's self-certification form to affirm their status as a first-generation homebuyer.
  • Homebuyer must be pre-qualified with Marquette before a grant reservation is submitted.
  • You must contribute $1,500 towards your down payment and closing costs to be eligible for a maximum grant of $15,000.
  • Household income should be at or below 120% of the area median income at the time of registration, and can not have owned a home within the past three years.

First Front Door (FFD)

  • Opening date on May 19, 2026.
  • Contribute $1,500 towards your down payment and closing costs, and you can be eligible for a maximum FFD grant of $15,000.
  • Must be a first-time home buyer.
  • Homebuyer must be pre-qualified with Marquette before a grant reservation is submitted.
  • Household income should be at or below 80% of the area median income at the time of registration.
